Buckingham Palace, A Royal Day Out

13 July @ 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

£59.50 – £89.50

Other than executive coach travel, what’s included in your Royal Day Out ticket?
A Royal Day Out ticket offers discount admission to all three venues at Buckingham Palace: the State Rooms, The King’s Gallery and the Royal Mews.

The King’s Gallery
The Queen’s Gallery has now become The King’s Gallery. Your Royal Day Out will start with a visit to The King’s Gallery to see the exhibition The Edwardians: Age of Elegance. This new exhibition will explore the opulence and glamour of the Edwardian era – the period between the Victorian era and the First World War – through the lives and tastes of the monarchs of the age.

Next you will visit the Royal Mews which is one of the finest working stables in existence and responsible for all road travel arrangements for The King and members of the Royal Family. You will see historic coaches and carriages, including the Gold State Coach and the Diamond Jubilee State Coach, the newest coach at the Mews.

The State Rooms
Your Royal Day Out will finish with a tour through the magnificent State Rooms in Buckingham Palace which are used by The King for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining. Each room is furnished with many of the treasures from the Royal Collection, including paintings by Rembrandt and Rubens; sculpture by Canova; and some of the finest English and French furniture in the world.

The day ends with a walk through the garden, with splendid views of the Palace and the famous lake.

Drinks, cakes and sandwiches are available in the Garden Café at the end of the State Rooms tour. Situated overlooking the Palace’s lawn and lake, the Café is a great place to relax after your busy day out.

Food and drink are not available at The King’s Gallery or the Royal Mews but there are many cafés and restaurants nearby. Eating and drinking are not permitted inside any of the venues.
