ABOUT US

Hello, I started organising a yearly trip to The West End for work colleagues and friends around 25 years ago. Back then it was a 10 seater limousine.

In 2016 we wanted to see Motown The Musical but this didn’t seem possible as the theatre only offered a discounted rate to groups of 40 or more and that’s where it all began. I got quotes for a coach and through the power of Facebook, managed to find more than 40 people who wanted to join us.

For the past few years I continued to arrange a few trips but working as a full time Paramedic, it was difficult to fit in more than one or two a year.

As my love for West End shows grew so did the Luxford Theatre Trips community. Realising the problems people faced when relying on public transport and the fact I now had a fair number of solo travellers that would never make the journey alone, I took the decision to reduce my working hours and arrange more trips.

Luckily my friend Nicki took early retirement from the health sector and so found she had time on her hands. I soon put pay to that and now she is a great asset in helping these trips run smoothly.

We use a fantastic coach company, Peter Godward Coaches who supply us with a luxury coach which has a toilet on board and the most brilliant drivers ever!

I am having the best time, getting to see great shows and meeting some lovely people and seeing people enjoy themselves.

My only regret is I didn’t do this sooner.

I look forward to many more trips and meeting many more of you.

I recently booked the Coyote Ugly trip with Luxford Theatre Trips and I was so impressed with how smooth the whole organisation was. Being collected by a clean, luxury coach filled with other women looking to enjoy a night out was fantastic. Everyone was in high spirits. The coach dropped us off and collected us just round the corner to the bar. We had a VIP area to ourselves allowing us to dance away to our hearts content. Really great night and I will consider using in the future for a theatre trip instead of taking the train
