SUMMARY:Book of Mormon
DESCRIPTION:Not for the easily offended!! \nThe Book of Mormon follows the story of two young Mormon missionaries\, Elder Price and Elder Cunningham\, working to spread the word of the Latter Day Saints to the locals in a small town in Uganda. The LDS church members realise how daunting their task is when they discover the villagers are more concerned with the AIDS epidemic\, oppression\, and starvation. \nAnyone familiar with South Park or the work of Trey Parker and Matt Stone would know that The Book of Mormon can get rather bawdy and crass at times! That being said\, despite Parker and Stone’s in-your-face subject matter\, the musical never received a backlash from members of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. In fact\, the Mormon Church even stated the musical may be “entertaining for a day”\, while also going on to add that “the book is always better” when it comes to theatrical adaptations. \nCoach pick up\nWitham – Bus stop outside Paddy Power Newland Street Witham CM8 1AH – 1440hrs\nGreat Notley\, Entrance to White Courts Estate\, Windermere Drive\, CM77 7UB – 1500hrs\nDunmow\, Opposite The Flitch House\, High Street\, CM6 1AE – 1520hrs\nTakeley\, Opposite The Four Ashes\, Dunmow Road\, CM22 6SB – 1530hrs

SUMMARY:Oliver!
DESCRIPTION:Be transported to 1830s London in Oliver!\, Lionel Bart’s iconic musical that has been revised in an all-new production by Cameron Mackintosh with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne. \nOliver! in London is based on Charles Dickens’s 1838 novel\, Oliver Twist. The musical tells the classic tale of a young orphan\, Oliver Twist\, who is seeking a home and family. Things aren’t easy on the streets of London\, and soon enough\, Oliver becomes part of a gang of child pickpockets. The musical examines the London underworld through a child’s perspective and explores themes of friendship\, good vs. evil\, poverty\, and crime. \nThis exciting new revival boasts a stellar cast\, including Simon Lipkin (Guys and Dolls\, The Beaker Girls) as Fagin and Aaron Sidwell (EastEnders\, Wicked) as Bill Sikes. The role of Oliver Twist is shared by Jack Philpott (The Witches\, Matilda)\, Raphael Korniets (The Snowman)\, and Cian Eagle-Service (The Witches\, Les Misérables). \nWith a captivating story and an exceptional score\, including songs such as Food Glorious Food\, I’d Do Anything\, and Consider Yourself\, it’s no wonder that over 60 years after it premiered\, Oliver! is still a hit with audiences. \nCoach pick up\nWitham – Bus stop Collingwood Road\, CM8 2EE – 1440hrs\nGreat Notley\, Entrance to White Courts Estate\, Windermere Drive\, CM77 7UB – 1500hrs\nDunmow\, Dunmow Club\, High Street\, CM6 1AE – 1520hrs\nTakeley\, Opposite The Four Ashes\, Dunmow Road\, CM22 6SB – 1530hrs

SUMMARY:Polar Express - Deluxe carriage
DESCRIPTION:The Polar Express™ Experience \nDo you believe? We do at the Mid-Norfolk Railway and that is why we are proud to be again hosting an exciting magical experience like no other. THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is returning to the Mid-Norfolk Railway this December with the magic of the 2004 motion picture THE POLAR EXPRESS™ being theatrically re-created so you and your family can be immersed in the sights\, sounds and intrigue of this classic children’s tale.\n\nPrepare to be surrounded by the magic and wonder of the Christmas season! \nAs you and your family take in the festive decorations at THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride station\, you can almost hear the faint sound of sleigh bells in the distance and the fun begins.\n\nTHE POLAR EXPRESS™ is waiting for you at the platform. Wait for the train Conductor to invite you and the other passengers to climb aboard\, shouting “All aboooooard!”. Anticipation builds as you step onto the Train to be escorted to your seat by the Chefs from the film.\n\nBefore long\, scenes from the film come to life as dancing Chefs and Waiters arrive to serve cookies and hot chocolate. The children are invited to engage these exciting characters who are eager to hear from the youngsters about what makes the Christmas season special to them.\n\nWhile the hot chocolate lingers in your mouth and warms your tummy\, you will listen as the story of The Polar Express is told in its entirety. Chefs show pages from the beautifully illustrated book for the whole carriage to follow. A smile grows on your face as you watch your child become absorbed in the wonderment of the story.\n\nAs your adventure continues\, you notice other key elements of the story — both inside and outside your train — springing to life. Watch and listen as another scene unfolds on-board before your eyes. \nUpon arrival at the North Pole\, keep your eyes peeled for Santa’s sleigh and Christmas trees. Watch out for Santa waving and\, when the train stops\, listen out for the carriage door to slam as Santa gets on board. After the train departs the North Pole for the return voyage home\, you soon notice that the adventure isn’t over. Santa appears in your midst to present each passenger with their very own “First Gift of Christmas”\, a silver bell from his sleigh.
